The 2016 MTV Movie Awards will air this Sunday [April 10] at 8:00 p.m. ET.
The evening will be hosted by Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart. The two actors co-star in upcoming action-comedy Central Intelligence, which will hit theaters on June 17, 2016. This is a warm up gig for Kevin, who we think will be invited to host the Oscars in the next few years.
Will Smith will receive the highly coveted Generation Award. He’s also nominated for Concussion and Focus. Melissa McCarthy will be a recipient of the Comedic Genius Award. Her new comedy The Boss is now playing. She is also nominated for Spy. Ariana Grande and Halsey will perform. Halle Berry, Jonah Hill, Rebel Wilson, Samuel L. Jackson, Daisy Ridley, Miles Teller, Amy Poehler, Andy Samberg, Anna Kendrick, Ryan Reynolds, Kendall Jenner, Adam Devine, Jesse Eisenberg, Lizzy Caplan, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Alexander Skarsgard, Common and the cast of Straight Outta Compton are a few of the notables who will be in attendance.
