In 2013 New Balance dropped three pairs of 1600 Elite Editions. When released in 2013, two pairs were very similar when it came to their color blocking scheme which was released in a bright red and blue colorway. When the ‘Mugshot’ edition dropped it separated itself from the first two releases and went with a dark color scheme.

Trying to switch things up from a color aspect New Balance went with a color blocking pattern option of black and purple. Going with those color options it almost gives the New Balance “N” logo a 3D-like effect. At the moment no date has been set for an US release for the purple colorway as the black is currently available on New Balance online store.
