Ever since Vine’s release earlier in 2013, the social media app has become a prevalent way to share brief 6 second videos through the user’s social media. Artists like Mac Miller, ScHoolboy Q, Cam’ron, Wiz Khalifa and Action Bronson have taken on Vine as a valuable way to interact with their followers, often posting hilarious clips.

Not one to be outdone, Facebook and Instagram have officially rolled out their latest update which, you guessed it, involves a new video feature allowing users to take brief clips and post on their Instagram. This power move will undoubtedly find Vine in a scramble to come up with a strong retaliation in order to maintain relevance in the social media universe.
