Common readies his eleventh album.

The Chicago rapper says he’s excited for his new project and the producers he’s working with. Common, broke the news earlier today on Live! With Kelly and Michael. This will mark his first LP since 2014’s Nobody’s Smiling.

“I’m so excited,” he revealed. “I’m working on a new project, a new music project with this great, talented producer named Karriem Riggins. Man, I just feel good about the music. And Robert Glasper, whose a great musician, pianist. I’m working with them. I’m just excited about it.”

This isn’t the first time Common has worked with Glasper. He collaborated with the producer on 2013’s “I Stand Alone” off Black Radio 2 and has been performing with Riggins throughout his career. Glasper has also collaborated with Kendrick Lamar on To Pimp a Butterfly and most recently Riggins worked with Kanye West on “30 Hours.” Common,  whose film “Barber Shop: The Next Cut,” opens in theaters today has been acting but he hasn’t completely stepped away from the mic as he continues to deliver projects. He recently teamed up with Ice Cube  on “Real People,” and is gearing up to join some big acts on the upcoming Hamilton Mixtape.
