The media is still very high off of what will go down as Birdman’s now-infamous Breakfast Club interview. The very short and to the point interview that lead to Birdman’s Respek merchandise line.

Charlamagne Tha God recently appeared on The Brilliant Idiots Podcast where he shed light on the entire Birdman situation as well the very seconds leading up to Birdman walking into the room and storming out shortly after. Now this next part is quite hilarious, we’re all familiar with Eminem’s “Lose Yourself,” Em’s 2002 track which accompanied the movie, 8 Mile. Apparently, Birdman was listening to this very song right before he walked in demanding, you guessed it, some respek.

“He comes to the radio station, I see him when he walks in, I’m watching him through the glass for like 30 seconds. This is no lie, Eminem’s “Lose Yourself’ was playing, I don’t know where it was coming from, I don’t know if it was on the radio or if it was in his headphones…but Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” was playing, I’m dead ass serious, I’m not making this up. He walks in and goes “y’all ready?” and then that’s what y’all saw.”
