On Friday, May 6, Variety reported in addition to starring as Batman, Ben Affleck is also executive producing Justice League: Part One. 

As Executive Producer, Affleck is working with director Zack Snyder and writer Chris Terrio on the script. He will also weigh in on post-production. Batman v Superman starring Affleck received mixed reviews yet has grossed $865 million worldwide since its release in March.

Affleck has a lot to offer as a producer. He directed Gone Girl and The Town. He also won a Best Picture Oscar for producing Argo and he won a Best Screenplay Oscar with Matt Damon for Good Will Hunting.

Cast Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Amber Heard, Jeremy Irons, J. K. Simmons, and Willem Dafoe started shooting Justice League last month. Warner Bros. will release the film on Nov. 17, 2017 while Justice League Part Two is scheduled for release on June 14, 2019.

Affleck will also direct and star in a standalone Batman movie. Other DC universe films coming soon include Suicide Squad, Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash.
