When it finally became apparent that Beyonce would be naming her new album Lemonade, scores of Gucci Mane fans came out of the woodwork to remind the general public that their prime minister, Gucci Mane La Flare, was the original purveyor of lemonade culture. To their credit, his 2009 hit “Lemonade” might be his most popular song, and it was released during the best year of the Atlanta rapper’s career, 2009.
Whether or not Queen Bey heard their cries, she certainly seems to feel the same way. Beyonce, a native of the South herself by way of Houston, posted the above video clip of her dancing with her and Jay Z‘s daughter, Blue Ivy, with Gucci Mane’s “Lemonade” serving as the soundtrack.
Beyzus wins again.
