Recently we reported that George Zimmerman, who fatally gunned down unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin back in 2012, would be auctioning off the Kel-Tec PF-9 .9mm firearm he used in the shooting. According to TMZ, bids for the weapon went as high as $415,000 on United Gun Group, who hosted the auction for the weapon. Now, the gun may have a new owner, and that owner is notorious “pharma bro”, Martin Shkreli.
Now, we know what you’re thinking — but Shkreli’s interest in the firearm actually comes from a place of good intention. He took to Twitter to explain his motives:
The only reason I would bid on the Zimmerman gun would be to destroy it or put it in a museum as a disgusting reminder of racism in the US.

Shkreli gained notoriety last year when he bought Wu-Tang’s coveted million dollar LP Once Upon A Time In Shaolin and it was learned that the pharmaceutical CEO was responsible for inflating life-saving AIDS and cancer medication. He then went on to feud with RZA, threaten to smack Ghostface Killah, offer to free Bobby Shmurda, and be a Grade-A douche. It seems though they he may have turned the other cheek.
