Fetty Wap’s meteoric 2015 has everyone looking to the Paterson, NJ native to see what he can pull off as a follow-up act. Considering after coming into the year a relative nobody, Fetty debuted atop the Billboard 200, received the literal key to his city and broke longstanding Billboard records set by Eminem and Lil Wayne, the scrutiny is certainly warranted.
Fetty’s expected to release several project in the coming months, including a joint mixtape with Young Thug and his sophomore solo album, and today we’ve got a new music video for a song off the latter. “Wake Up,” which was infamously called the next big Fetty Wap hit by 300 Entertainment head Lyor Cohen. For the new video Fetty returned to his old high school, which he has an intimate relationship with, as a reminder that regardless of academic certification, his message is that everyone should follow their dreams.
