It’s an awkward time to be Tyga, and that’s quite the understatement. The California rapper dove right back into the dating pool after his controversial two-year relationship to Kylie Jenner dissolved, and he’s had to watch the mother of his son begin a very public relationship with Jenner’s brother (Rob Kardashian), which, thus far, has produced an engagement ring and a pregnancy. All the while, Tyga is trolling Jenner’s new love interest, PARTYNEXTDOOR, with matching Instagram captions.
So awkward.
Tyga, who finally released his Gold Album: 18th Dynasty album back in June after nearly a year-long delay, clearly still has lingering issues with Cash Money. Tyga attacked his label–and, ostensibly, Birdman–in a series of tweets in late 2014, accusing CM of hindering his career. Though Cash Money artists like Drake and Lil Wayne appear to his absolved their issues with the label, Tyga doesn’t seem too keen on buying into the re-formed friendships.
He iterates that notion in the new music video for “Cash Money,” another edition of the State of the Tyga Union. Pay close attention above.
