T-Pain has been noticeably absent as of late, rarely letting his voice be heard on the radio and tending to play the background. That might all change this year, as he attempts to make a major comeback. Autotune has seen a comeback of sorts, with multiple high profile artist incorporating the computer-robotic vocals on their albums or mixtapes, including Kanye West. This second wind means that T-Pain can set up shop once again, this time stronger than ever.
This morning, Pain released a banger of a song, “F**k Em”, featuring some heavy hitting features. Waka Flocka appears, verbally dismantling the track with a flurry of adlibs and chants; Rich Homie Quan, who sounds owes a lot to T-Pain, helps sing the hook, harmonizing his vocals with trap production; Young Cash contributes a dynamic verse that makes the best at his singing compatriots. Pain comes through with an impressive and shocking street track that can mark a new direction or a return to form for himself.
