It’s another big day for DJ Khaled, as he’s unleashed his new single, “For Free,” featuring Drake, which is likely his bid to own summer 2016. His new album, Major Key, is set to impact during these summer months as well, and the Drake collaboration–the fourth time Drizzy has been featured on a DJ Khaled album–is just the beginning when it comes to high-profile album cuts.
For weeks the internet has been abuzz with anticipation of a song on Major Key that features Jay Z and Future. To think that’s an unlikely collaboration isn’t unreasonable, but Khaled has made it happen, and it’s dropping “soon.” The song also now has a title, “I Got The Keys,” as it was revealed by Khaled during his interview with Zane Lowe on Beats1 Radio, and if you think Jay took it back to the old days with his “Drug Dealers Anonymous” verse, you’re in for a treat.
According to Khaled, on the song with Future, Hov brings back that “Jigga in ’96” feeling, which is fascinating to imagine. Throughout the interview, Khaled also revealed some of the other features on MK, which include Rick Ross–naturally–Kanye West, Big Sean and Bryson Tiller.
Up to something.
