To try to explain DJ Khaled‘s 2016 run would be fruitless at this point, other than to say it’s been impeccable to watch and tireless to document. From his lifestyle brands to social media, and, more recently, the string of W’s he’s caught music wise, Khaled is easily having not just the best year of his career, but probably his life.
The folks at Apple Music certainly think that, and they’re capitalizing on it with a new promo spot, featuring Khaled, supermodel extraordinaire Naomi Campbell, and Khaled’s new single, “For Free,” which features Drake. The song, which dropped yesterday on Beats1 Radio, soundtracks what looks like a romantic getaway for Khaled and Campbell–they even exchange a smooch–and the commercial doesn’t come without some of the Roc Nation DJ’s signature cliche-laden outbursts.
