Since he signed with Cash Money and launched his commercial career in 2010, Drake has been a staple atop any chart imaginable. You name it. The Billboard Hot 100, the Billboard 200, the Hip Hop/R&B charts, the radio charts, the meme charts, touring, whatever. Any chart that tracks how music is consumed has seen Drake dominate in recent years.

However, his reign has never been this infallible. The Toronto rapper is no stranger to #1 albums, sure. Views is his fourth solo album and sixth overall project to hold that honor, but never has Drake had the pleasure of having a #1 album for so many weeks consecutively. As of yesterday, Views topped the Billboard 200 for a fifth consecutive week, meaning it’s yet to be dethroned since its April 29 release. What’s more? The album’s dominance has coincided with the immense success of its lead single, “One Dance,” which gave Drake his first-ever solo #1 last month, and continues to be the top song in the country.

Of course, all this comes after Drake, thanks to Rihanna, found himself atop the Billboard 100 for a whopping nine consecutive weeks earlier in the year, when the nation got “Work” fever and never let go. Collectively between “Work” and “One Dance,” Drake has spent an eye-popping 13 weeks in the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. That means out of the 23 weeks that have transpired this year, Drake has had the #1 song for 13 of them. That’s 56.5%. Wow.

Also, speaking of Rihanna, despite the fact that it’s been several months since the release of ANTI, she’s still catching wreck. Her biggest current solo hit, “Needed Me,” currently sits at #8 on the chart, and her latest collaboration with Calvin Harris, “This Is What You Came For,” sits right behind it at #9. In addition, “Work” may have lost its #1 spot, but it’s still galloping with the pack, and finished just outside the top 10 this week at #12.

In other news, congratulations is in order for Ty Dolla $ign, who notched his first-ever top 5 finish on the Billboard Hot 100 with his guest slot on Fifth Harmony‘s “Work From Home.” The anti-office anthem has been hovering in and around the top 10 for several weeks, but experienced a hug jump this week, and finished at #4.

The apparent song of the summer, Fat Joe and Remy Ma’s “All The Way Up,” is making a beeline for the top 20, and jumped 11 spots to finish at #27 this week.  Between the popularity of remixes featuring Jay Z, Meek Mill, Fabolous and Jadakiss, and the duo’s Summer Jam performance, its ascent will likely continue well into June. The last time Fat Joe was this high on the Hot 100 was ten years ago in 2006, when his “Make It Rain” hit with Lil Wayne peaked at #13. This is Remy Ma’s first Top 40 hit since her huge #1 hit with Terror Squad, “Lean Back.” Her previous peak was also a Terror Squad release, “Take Me Home,” which topped off at #62 in 2004.

Needless to say, this Plato O Plomo pairing has been career-defining for both artists.
