Thanks to no one employed in the NFL’s social media department, we know that NFL Commisioner Roger Goodell is alive and well, and not dead like @NFL claimed he was earlier in the afternoon.

NFL reporters flocked to their respective Twitter accounts to refute the contents of a couple tweets sent out by a hacker, tweets that flatly stated that Roger Goodell was dead at 47.

Goodell, who isn’t necessarily known for being particularly light-hearted or candid, cleverly flipped his fake death into a joke about being killed off by his own “network” when he took a day off to go play golf with Hall of Fame QB Jim Kelly.

Again, sorry Patriots fans. He’s really alive.
