A 34-year-old man that was ejected from the Eastern Conference Finals Game 4 in Toronto was found shot to death on Tuesday in Toronto.

The man’s name was Sukh Deo; The Washington Post reports that Deo was known as a Vancouver “gangster” under at least one investigation for assault and resisting a cop. The Post also reports that Deo’s lineage has faced similar scrutiny. Deo’s father, Parminder, is wanted on drug-smuggling charges in India, and his brother, Harjit, was convicted in a 2005 kidnapping.

Sukh was reportedly found inside his SUV in Midtown Toronto; his white car riddled with at least 14 bullet holes in just the driver’s side window. His only confirmed occupation was a gig running a truck company with one of his associates.

In the following video clip, you can see Air Canada Centre security personnel lead Deo out of the arena after he was ejected for going at the referees for a considerable portion of the tense playoff game, which Toronto won. Sukh’s uncle remembered how avid a Raptors fan his nephew was talking with the Toronto Sun. “He was a really big fan of that team. He always goes to watch the games.”

Police are allegedly in search of two men seen fleeing the scene wearing construction vests.
