Wale‘s been on a nice win streak over the last couple weeks, with the release of his well-received “My PYT” single, the first off his forthcoming SHINE album, and “Her Wave,” a sensual, R&B-tinged record that samples his good friend Miguel and may or may not find a home on the album. MMG also dropped the unifying first single off their fourth compilation album, Self Made 4, due out this year and executive-produced by Wale. It’s the first time Rick Ross, Wale and Meek Mill have done a song together in quite some time; the significance of the song is of course rooted in the rocky relationship Wale and Meek have had over the last couple of years.

Today, Wale’s returned with more music. This time, he grabs DMV wordsmith Phil Ade for “Reminisce,” an exhibition in lyrical exercise that samples Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth‘s “They Reminisce Over You” in an interesting way.
