Actress and supermodel Naomi Campbell was honored at the 7th Annual amfAR Inspiration Gala New York this week.
For the past 23 years, she has been a devoted supporter of amfAR and HIV/AIDS research. Wendy Williams presented her with the award. In her acceptance remarks, Campbell thanked amfAR “for bringing us to this much more hopeful point.” She added, “We are nearly there and we are not going to give up.”
Whoopi Goldberg hosted the evening, which raised $1.2 dollars. Additional attendees spotted at Skylight at Moynihan Station included Leonardo DiCaprio, Jason Derulo, Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union, Zac Posen, Kelly Osbourne, Victoria Justice, and amfAR Chairman of the Board Kenneth Cole.
Zayn Malik presented the amfAR Award of Inspiration to his friend, Kim Jones, who continues Louis Vuitton’s legacy of support for the fight against AIDS. Jason Derulo treated guests to a performance of “Trumpets,” “Wiggle,” “Talk Dirty,” and “Want to Want Me.” Nico & Vinz performed “Am I Wrong.”
