The Cleveland Cavaliers had several opportunities to go on a definitive run last night and tie up the NBA Finals 2-2. Instead, the Splash Brothers showed up in a big way, and LeBron and company now face the daunting task of trying to come back from a 3-1 Finals deficit against the best team ever without home court advantage.

This thing might be cooked.

You know what else was cooked? Stephen Curry‘s new signature shoes, the Under Armous Curry 2 Low “Chef” sneakers, which were unveiled earlier this week. Almost immediately after getting a hold of high-res images of the MVP’s new footwear, social media tore the Warriors point guard a new one, and came up with a myriad of hilarious monikers for the new shoes, none of which were variations of the word “chef,” or anything that Steph would find flattering. For example:

*dead*.

Luckily for Curry, he’s so good at basketball criticism of his shoes quickly fell by the wayside last night when he began the game 4-of-6 from behind-the-arc, and splashed his team to a Game 4 win, meaning the Warriors can clinch their second consecutive NBA title on Monday night. Still, as expected, Curry was asked if he was aware of the jokes, and whether or not he would have worn the shoes as a clapback if he had them handy.

His response? Of course he would have worn the shoes if he had them on the road, to show everyone how fire they are. He’ll have a chance to sport them on Monday at home in a close-out game.
