Tricks are for kids.

dherWell meet Daniel Dhers, a professional BMX rider and five-time X Games gold medalist. Born in Venezuela in 1985, this kid starting doing tricks when was 12 years-old, riding BMX (Bicycle motocross) in skate parks with his friends. When he was 16 his parents moved to Argentina where he started riding with more experienced bikers. It was at this point that he began his progression to becoming a well-known international figure in the BMX world and also one of the most competitive riders ever.

In 2007, Dhers won his first gold medal at the X Games in Los Angeles and went on to win three more in the ensuing years. He took gold most recently in Munich. While he may be more than happy with his winning titles, Dhers is much a thrill seeker and lives to ride. On a trip to Lima, Peru, he performed tricks on ramps mounted on the back of moving trailer trucks. Yes, the trucks were moving, alongside other vehicles on the road while passerby stopped to take pictures of Dher. Don’t try this at home, not that you can anyway. Check out the video here.
