It isn’t quite July 1 yet, but with the NBA Draft less than 36 hours away, teams are already shooting from the hip for players on their wish list.

It’s no secret that the Boston Celtics, who have built a formidable young roster and have reached the playoffs each of the last two seasons, have been interested for most of the year in looking for a star playmaker to join their team and make them a legit challenger to the NBA Champion Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference.

Rumors and reports indicate that Boston made a trade deadline run at Carmelo Anthony, and are considering Dwight Howard this summer–Howard opted out of his deal with Houston yesterday–and a day before the draft, they’ve opened up their draft day market. According to Bleacher Report, the Celtics have offered the 3rd overall pick in the draft–which could translate to Brandon Ingram, Jaylen Brown, or another promising prospect if consensus mock drafts are proven wrong–to the Milwaukee Bucks for either Khris Middleton or Jabari Parker.

Unfortunately for Boston, it doesn’t appear that the Bucks are ready to play ball. Along with point-forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and veteran stud forward Greg Monroe, the Bucks are primed to be one of the better Eastern Conference teams over the next decade, and Parker will be a key cornerstone for years to come.
