The Knicks are making moves, people!

Though they suffered through another cellar-dwelling season this year, Knicks faithful were elated to see the emergence of their first-round draft pick last year, Kristaps Porzingis, who likely would have won Rookie of the Year had it not been for the ridiculous season Karl Anthony-Towns had out in Minnesota. This kid was good, and fans and brass alike immediately began searching for the third piece to team up with Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony.

Just three days into the offseason, the Knicks are have found the playmaker they so desperately need in the backcourt: Derrick Rose.

The Knicks unload two recently required starters, Jose Calderon and Robin Lopez, to pull in Rose, who was one of the best players in the NBA a few years ago–he won MVP in 2012–before injuries put his future in jeopardy. The Knicks also dealt their second round draft pick from last year, Jerian Grant, to Chicago.
