James Harden led the NBA in minutes played last season, so he opted to skip this summer’s Olympic festivities to rest. He interrupted said rest recently to show up to his Pro Camps summer program to grace gleeful kids with his superstar presence, and proceeded to engage in the really good NBA player/deer-in-headlights camp-goer 1-on-1 tradition.

Recently, we’ve seen guys like Kevin Durant and Andre Drummond allow kids to gain confidence on offense before swatting their shots into oblivion, but this time, James Harden was the ball handler. He lulled this poor kid to sleep with his hypnotic crossover dribbles, then made the ball disappear into the air above their heads, completely confusing the young defender. In short order, Harden made his way around the camper, grabbed the rock, and slammed it home, sending all present into a frenzy, including Harden.
