The Associated Press is reporting that two explosions have impacted at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, Turkey, and multiple people have been wounded. Gunfire was also reported at the scene.
Local television news reports have iterated that one of the explosions hit a control point at the airport’s international leg. In recent months, bombings have occurred several times in Turkey, some of which are believed to be the result of Islamic State group militant action.
This reporter uploaded a photo of the wreckage to his Twitter account, acknowledging “multiple casualties.”
