After the release of his highly-anticipated debut album, Rodeo, it became immediately clear that Travi$ Scott had no plans to rest on his laurels. Since 2013, he’s worked on albums by Kanye West, Jay Z, Rihanna, dropped three full-length projects of his own and toured the world twice, none of which is apparently a reason to take a break.
Earlier this year, Scott announced a new project, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, his apparent sophomore album, which will feature his latest single, the tropically-tinged “Pick Up the Phone” featuring Young Thug and Quavo. He’s moving at such a rapid pace he’s already announced the title of his third album, Astroworld, and seems bent on not wasting any time with the release of McKnight.
Recent concert footage contributes to that sentiment. During the show in question, the Houston rapper revealed to the frenzied crowd that his “album is coming out in a week,” and proceeded to tease a couple never-bef0re-heard songs.

Considering the months-long roll-out that preceded Rodeo, it’s interesting to see how quickly the BITTSM process is moving. It’s worth noting that the last tine Scott promised a release to his fans, he delivered it timely in the form of “Pick Up the Phone.”
We’ll see what happens between now and next Wednesday.
