ScHoolboy Q‘s sophomore album, Blank Face LP, will be out next Friday, and the hype for it has exponentially increased over the last couple of weeks. With “THat Part” becoming a song of the summer candidate, and cryptic trailers being circulated once a week, July 8 can’t get here soon enough.

As if his fan base isn’t impatient enough, ScHoolboy Q has decided to further tease BFLP today with the release of a short film/music video for “Tookie Knows Part 2,” a previously unreleased song off the upcoming album.

“Tookie Knows Part 2” is the sequel to Q’s Habits ‘N’ Contradictions cut, “Tookie Knows,” a haunting song that’s equal parts rapped verse and inaudible, neck hair-raising growls. For his second act, Q brought a few of the homies along–he’s joined by Traffic and TF on the song–for a jailhouse cypher, the bittersweet byproduct of their recent armed robbery ventures.

The quasi-music video for the song is only 30% of what comprises this short film, however. Some great cinematic work is on display almost immediately during a charged opening scene featuring Q and his cohorts robbing a pawn store–and shooting one of its staff members.
