Chief Keef is two years removed from the end of his relationship with Interscope Records, but the Chicago drill pioneer has continued to release singles, mixtapes and albums independently. Last year, he generated an international buzz with the release of his Bang 3, Part 1 and Bang 3, Part 2 albums, and his “Faneto” single became a niche smash, prompting the likes of Drake to perform it live during a Chicago tour stop.

This summer, Keef appears bent on recapturing that energy, beginning with the four song snippets he posted to his Twitter account earlier today via YouTube. One of those snippets was for a song called “In My Mode,” produced by mega-producer Mike Will Made-It. Keef always has a project not far from being released, and MWMI is prepping the release of the follow-up to his 2014 Ransom mixtape, Ransom 2.

The song could end up on either artist’s upcoming project, but this snippet will have to suffice for now.
