The rumors are no more: Joakim Noah is a Knick.
Just days after New York poached former MVP Derrick Rose from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Robin Lopez and José Calderon, the Joakim Noah to NY rumors began circulating. It’s no secret that Rose and Noah had built a strong bond as one of the most dominant Eastern Conference teams in the early 2010’s. Had LeBron James never taken his talents to South Beach, both Rose and Noah might have championship rings to sport.
Well, their time isn’t up. Noah officially agreed to a 4-year, $18 million contract last night that allows him to team up with his buddy Derrick, Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis on what is suddenly a very intriguing and potent Knicks roster.
Naturally, Joakim, who also happens to be a NYC native, took to Instagram to convey his excitement.
