Good thing they caught this guy before Independence Day.

A Tuscon, Arizona man was arrested on Friday and is currently being held without bond after threatening to commit acts of terrorism upon government buildings in the Arizona cities of Tuscon and Phoenix.

Mahin Khan, who recently turned 18, appeared in front of a Phoenix judge on Saturday[July 3, 2016]. Khan faces two counts of conspiracy to commit terrorism and terrorism for conspiring to carry out terrorism acts on government buildings in Phoenix and Tucson.

“The Arizona Attorney General’s Office is working closely with federal authorities to keep Arizonans safe,” said a spokesperson for Arizona’s Attorney General. “We are not aware of any threats Khan made that involve the 4th of July holiday weekend.”
