Jidenna burst onto the scene in 2015 with a smash hit, “Classic Man,” and a fun close-out performance on Janelle Monae‘s “Yoga, which experienced considerable chart success itself.
Both of those performances were showcased on the compilation EP for Monae’s Wondaland collective, The Euphus EP, but it served as just an appetizer for Jidenna fans, who craved more of the traveled singer and songwriter’s vast talents.
In 2016, Jidenna seems to be bent on satisfying that craving, as he’s already released one single, “Chief Don’t Run,” and has followed it up with what already sounds like a summer smash, “Little Bit More,” which he teased at a private performance in NYC last month.
You can listen to the fun new single below, and get ready for Jidenna’s solo debut, Long Live the Chief, which appears to be very much on the horizon.
