Francis and the Lights, a Pop band from New York City, have worked with Drake on Thank Me Later, and with Social Experiment on Surf, so they’re no stranger to the rap collaboration. In fact, as Chance The Rapper points out, they sampled their own record to produce “Summer Friends,” an early standout on Chance’s recent mixtape, Coloring Book, on a song called “Summer Friends.”

For their next act, Francis and the Lights solicited Kanye West and Bon Iver, who have actually collaborated multiple times themselves, for their music video, “Friends.” Though we’re not treated to vocal contributions from Yeezy, we do get peak dancing ‘Ye a little bit towards the visuals end, and some solemn images of the “Famous” rapper that compliment the vibe “Friends” conveys well.
