Anytime core Dipset members link up, it’s a big deal. Since there heyday in the early to mid-2000’s, there’s been riff after riff and beef after beef, so much so that Cam’ron, Jim Jones and Juelz Santana have attempted several comebacks over the years, all of which fell apart at the seams. From “Salute” to “Dipsh*ts,” there have been efforts made, but none of them have been sustained.
The release of “Oh Yeah,” a welcomed surprise of a collaboration between Killa Cam and Juelz, in May serves as a perfect example. Cam and Juelz reverted back to their 2003 ways, and did their best “Oh Boy” impression over a similarly structured instrumental, which of course got rap fans everywhere excited, but Jim Jones wasn’t as ready to celebrate. Apparently, he was supposed to join Cam and Juelz on the song, and he didn’t hesitate to voice his frustrations.
Still, Cam and Juelz are pushing forward with the effervescent record, and they’ve released a music video for it, which you can watch above. Miss that Dipset feeling? Then this is for you.
