Last week Frank Ocean may have sent his fans into a frenzy. The R&B crooner posted an image of a library card stamped with several dates, the very last date being “July___2016.” Of course, that particular date was smudged out. Written at the very bottom of the card, “Boys Don’t Cry,” Frank’s website and possibly the title of his next LP. Shortly after we learned that Ocean will star in an upcoming Calvin Klein campaign for their fall collection.

As if this news wasn’t exciting enough, apparently a reddit user did some serious detective searching deep within Calvin Klein’s domain to unlock a secret press release that reveals Ocean has been working on a novel and has also published a magazine. Ocean announced his “Boys Don’t Cry” magazine last summer that unfortunately was never released. The hidden press release mentions nothing about the release date of either the magazine, the  album, or how far Ocean is with the novel. One thing made clear is that it will all be worth the wait. Check out the full passage below.

He is known for being a perfectionist, and a pursuant of creativity in all forms. He resists pressure and follows his own vision. He has published a magazine and worked on a novel while continuing to perfect his highly anticipated second album. Ocean shuns interviews and social media, and prefers instead to speak through his work. He has said that when it comes to understanding music, the most important thing is to just press play. Ocean is a powerful storyteller, using his own openness and honesty to create an emotionally intimate world in each of his songs. With his craft, his aim is not money, power, or fame, but to grow, progress, evolve and eventually be the absolute best. So while he continues to work on that, we’ll continue to wait, as long as it takes, because when Frank Ocean does something, he does it right. The wait will be worth it.

We’ll take whatever we can from Frank: a book, a magazine, an album. We just want something that’ll carry us over for another four years if need be.
