It’s always those Calipari boys, isn’t it?

What do Derrick Rose, John Wall, Tyreke Evans and Brandon Knight all have in common? A man named John Calipari, pioneer college basketball coach at Memphis and the University of Kentucky, and certified point guard producer. His latest product is Tyler Ulis, a floor general that many believe to be undersized, but he’s been disproving that notion all Summer League long.

Ulis was selected with the 34th pick of last month’s draft in the second round, and the Suns hope that he can supplement an already sturdy backcourt of Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight as they make a playoff push next season. For now, though, they’ll likely settle for a game-winner.

With the Summer League semifinals on the line last night, Tyler Ulis hopped inbounds with 1.8 seconds on the clock, and went straight Steph Curry on the Nuggets. Game over, and welcome to the NBA, rookie.
