Y-3’s FW16 collection, which was first debuted back in January, has finally been released. To celebrate the release, Y-3 has dropped a short campaign film showing off the collection’s usual dark yet very clean aesthetic.
The short film does justice to Y-3’s Autumn/Winter 2016 collection with it’s rugged settings that works very well in contrast with the well tailored clean garments. With a plenty of suspense, the clip paints a scary picture of an imaginative futuristic place in which everything is unpleasant and the models are consistently trying to evade surveillance cameras, using the clothes as their armor. The video effortlessly highlights the rebellious modernism theme which runs through this collection. Taking inspiration from the 90’s rave culture and minimalism whilst still maintaining the brand’s layering and drapey silhouettes. You can watch the film below and as for the collection look for it to purchase via their website.
