AfterBoston Celtic point guard Rajon Rondo will make his season debut tonight versus the Los Angeles Lakers. Of course, this isn’t news, because even after all the denials, everyone knew today would still be the day.
While Danny Ainge, Celtics’ president of basketball operations, confirmed the return Rondo hinted at the return earlier this week on Twitter by offering the time (in seconds) between his surgery and Friday’s tipoff.
Superstar players like Kobe and D-Rose have come back and went out just as quick, so first things first, how much rust will Rondo have? How will he react to the likely losing and the fact that the talent around him isn’t as much? Will he gel with first-year coach Brad Stevens? Only time will tell. Rondo is back all right but the so much around him has changed.
