After leaving social media for a few days following a slew of racially charged tweets, Leslie Jones has returned to Twitter.
The actress received much support from her fans and colleagues, who all used the hashtag #LoveForLeslieJ to show the comedian that she is appreciated. On Thursday, Leslie reminded everyone that she’s a badass comedian with a great sense of humor by not even acknowledging her social media break and getting straight to the funny.
She tweeted:
In response to the hate she was getting, Twitter permanently suspended conservative writer and Breitbart.com tech editor Milo Yiannopoulos, who was allegedly the leader of the harassment against the star.
Leslie’s fans were excited to have the Ghostbusters star back to her usual, humorous self. She retweeted some of the kind words that she’s received upon her return:
Welcome back, Leslie Jones!
