Last summer, Justin Bieber ruled alongside pop gods Diplo and Skrillex, and this year he’s looking to do the same with another prolific anthem, “Cold Water,” with Major Lazer and MØ. If you remember, Lazer and MØ hooked up last year for a smash hit of their own, “Lean On,” which peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Add Biebs to the mix, and you’ve got a serious Song of the Summer candidate.
In addition to all of that, let’s throw arguably the game’s hottest rapper, Gucci Mane, in the mix as well. Gucci’s first post-prison album, Everybody Looking featuring Drake, Kanye West and Young Thug, was released today, and he’s already been featured on G.O.O.D. Music, Kodak Black and Dreezy singles. Furthermore, producer Zaytoven confirmed yesterday that he’s got a joint project with Drizzy on the way. Talk about keeping busy.
To further dominate the streets and airwaves, Gucci will apparently also appear on the remix to “Cold Water.” The remix was apparently previewed at popular NYC summer party Brunch Bounce, but Bieber confirmed the jam’s facelift today when he posted a snippet of Gucci’s Snapchat to his Twitter account.
