It isn’t every day you get a verse from Andre 3000.

The notoriously reclusive half of Outkast has been hinting at a solo album for a decade to no avail, so it’s through guest verses that we’re given the opportunity to hear Three Stacks do what he does better than almost everybody.

With the release of his debut album, Summertime ’06, and a couple of punishing guest verses, Vince Staples has quickly become one of the most respected and critically-acclaimed young rappers in the game. That sentiment was echoed by The Fader earlier this month, when the Long Beach rapper appeared on the publication’s “Summer Music” cover, and announced a forthcoming EP, Prima Donna, which is being worked on by James Blake and DJ Dahi.

On last night’s episode of HBO’s Ballers, a new song from said EP, “War Ready,” was teased, and it featured Mr. Andre 3000 himself. Prima Donna doesn’t have a release date yet–neither does “War Ready”–but this snippet is enough for even the casual fan of either rapper to get excited. Check it out below.
