Diplo‘s Major Lazer “electronic band” has produced several hits internationally in recent years. For some, their epileptic “Pon de Floor” was a viral introduction to their multi-faceted talents. For others, Beyonce‘s 2011 adaptation of that song–“Girls (Run the World)”–was an affirmation of their mainstream capabilities.

For Diplo and Walshy Fire, however, that was just the beginning. Last year, in collaboration with sweet-voiced Danish pop singer , Lazer notched the biggest hit of their career with the unifying “Lean On,” and appear to have another one on deck with “Cold Water,” the recently released Justin Bieber and MØ summer anthem.

With a new album on the horizon at the height of their popularity, Diplo sat down to chat with Zane Lowe of Beats1 Radio about the forthcoming LP, Lazer’s fourth, which will pack serious guest feature punch.

Definitely we have Usher on it. MØ’s back on songs. We have a song with Sam Hunt which is very unusual, but I love him. Travi$ Scott. I don’t even know; I have to go back…Sia is on a couple ideas, but one of the records might be her record. She’s definitely background vocals on a song.

With a collaborator list this diverse–Sam Hunt is actually a country music singer–we wouldn’t be surprised if more than one hit emanates from this new project. For now, we’ll await more details.
