It all started with a trip to Rick Ross‘ house for lunch.

That was the beginning of what we now know to be an astonishing rise through the ranks for DJ Khaled, whose star-studded new album, Major Key, officially hits retailers at midnight tonight. Khaled got lost on his jet ski at sea on his way back to his house from Rick Ross’, and he Snapchatted the entire ordeal, which included being pulled over and detained by nautical cops, and the repetition of his now famous catchphrase: “The key is to make it.” Since then, Khaled’s Snapchat has been followed more closely than some episodic TV shows, with his barefoot garden adventures, delicately prepared meals and jet ski gallivants providing enough entertainment for more than 7 million people daily. That social media fame catapulted Khaled’s real-life fame into never-before-seen realms. It wasn’t before long that he was on the cover of Bloomberg’s Businessweek, chatting with Ellen Degeneres, opening for Beyonce‘s stadium tour, and signing to Roc Nation.

The grand result of all that has officially arrived. Major Key is Khaled’s 9th studio album, and it features his most exciting guest lineup yet. Jay Z, Nas, Drake, Nicki Minaj, J. Cole, Rick Ross, Future, Bryson Tiller, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne. And frankly, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Khaled is debuting the album for the world right now on a special episode of his We the Best Radio on Beats1, and you can tune in and hear it before it hits retailers tonight right here.
