US-VOTE-DEMOCRATS-CONVENTION

Hillary Clinton made history this week by becoming the first female presidential nominee in history.

This is not the first time Mrs. Clinton tried her hand at the White House. Back in 2008, she ran against President Barack Obama, ultimately losing and becoming Secretary of State. Hillary’s entire campaign has centered around women’s empowerment and judging by her April 1992 interview with Katie Couric, she’s always been about that life.

When asked if the American people are ready for a First Lady who is so involved at a policy making level, a younger and more charismatic Hillary responded:

“I hope so. I think what I represent is generational change, it’s not just about me. And I think that the kind of opportunities that women are coming into their own in, in this country are so broad and deep, that we should all be willing to take responsibility and further the causes we believe in.”
