“The Boondocks,” an uncompromising satire of black culture created by Aaron McGruder, was one of the most popular series on Cartoon Network’s late-night programming block Adult Swim during its initial three season run. After a four year hiatus and one false alarm, it looks like season four has an official release date.
According to Adult Swim itself, the misadventures of the Freemans, 10-year-old domestic terrorist Huey, 8-year-old thug in training Riley, and their cranky guardian Granddad, will continue on April 21.
Adult Swim initially posted the return date as January 4, which turned out to be a scheduled re-run. I don’t think they’re fooling around this time. Check out the announcement bump below.
