Tory Lanez has, at the very least, become twice as popular this year as he was last year, thanks in large part to a consistent release schedule and his getting tangled with Drake for most of 2016.

Way back in January, Drake took a clear shot at Lanez on his “Summer Sixteen” single, and has continued to take live shots at the “Luv” singer during his Summer Sixteen tour, using one of the trek’s first shows to take a dig at Lanez for making his own version of “Controlla,” one of the biggest songs on Drake’s Views album.

That said, independent of his riff with his hometown’s biggest rapper, Lanez has had himself quite a year. He wrapped the Level Up tour with A$AP Ferg and Dreezy just over a month ago, and has seen several of his 2016 releases resonate well with fans, including his “Controlla” remix and “Luv,” which is currently #58 on the Billboard Hot 100, good for the highest placement on the chart in Lanez’s career.

To breathe new life in the smooth banger, Lanez invites a dancehall-rap OG, Sean Paul–who’s having quite the 2016 himself–to join him for the cut’s remix, which you can check out below.

In addition, Lanez recently announced a new album, I Told You, due out later this year.
