Maybach Music Group’s latest signees will take MMG to a new level
With the release of several projects from the camp this past year, Maybach Music Group had an amazing year. By the end of 2013, MMG grew bigger with the addition of both Tracy T & Fat Trel to their exclusive roster. Tracy T provides the Atlanta flavor along with the young ambition that the game is hungry for. Fat Trel carries DC on his back while making sure everyone knows that his time is now.
Fresh off tour, the MMG freshmen had some time to talk to The Source about their come-up, how they felt upon sealing the deal with Rick Ross, and what they plan to do for the imprint. They also speak on what they have in store for 2014.
The Source: How did you get linked up with MMG?
Tracy T: Beat Billionaire. I been known him for awhile and I was working at his 6 studio. We re-linked and “16” was the first song we did together. He produced it and he had already produced for Maybach Music. He took it to Ross and that’s the end.
Fat Trel: I met Wale 3-4 years ago. Just grindin in the DMW. We had a few joints, youn know, a couple freestyles together years ago. Being from the same city, everybody knew everybody out there. Shout out to the homie Wale. He’s definitely a big reason why I’m here with Maybach Music Group. He’s the one who made the whole situation happen man. It was his idea initially and he made it happen.
