After a couple years of false starts, it appears that Usher is finally ready to drop his highly-anticipated 8th studio album, Flawed. Hype initially began when Usher dropped the singles “Good Kisser” and “She Came to Give it to You” featuring Nicki Minaj–as well as corresponding music videos–back in 2014, but an apparent re-conceptualization of the LP has led to it not yet being released nearly 2 years later. In 2016, Usher’s pushed forward with singles sporting his many different sonic talents, from the godly “Climax” falsetto (“Crash”) to using his platform for socially-conscious dialogue (“Chains” featuring Nas and Bibi Bourelly).
Another single, “No Limit” featuring Young Thug, has been given the visual treatment this weekend, and you can check that out above. If you remember, Usher and Thugger dropped the single several weeks ago, using Master P‘s popular No Limit Records catchphrases and singles as sexual innuendos, which is certainly one of the more creative techniques we’ve seen in the R&B world lately.
Usher has yet to place a release date on Flawed, but given the amount of music he pushed forth in the top half of the year, we imagine the second half will be a triumphant one.
