Drake spent 3 nights in New York City this weekend, performing at Madison Square Garden and the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on his Summer Sixteen Tour with Future and two of his most promising OVO Sound acts, DVSN and Roy Woods. As always, it’s a huge deal when an artist of Drake’s caliber performs multiple nights in NYC, and every one of his words and moves is hung onto by thousands of fans. That proved to be true, after Drake made headlines by reigniting his 2015 feud with Funk Flex, implying to his sold out MSG crowd that he’d only perform at Summer Jam if Flex was fired.

Last night, Flex responded to Drake’s comments, which came in the form of a brief freestyle, revealing the alleged reasons Drake’s camp supplied him with proof that Drake didn’t write his verse for Meek Mill‘s “R.I.C.O.” Whether or not Drake caught wind of that, he wasted no time addressing a hyped crowd at his afterparty appearance at Space Ibiza in the city. Drizzy shouted out the DJs, but not the ones playing songs “4 weeks late” on their “7-9 slot,” an obvious shot at Flex.
