They didn’t think he could do it, but they were wrong.
DJ Khaled scored his first number one with the release of his ninth studio LP, Major Key. The album knocked Drake’s VIEWS from the top spot after it spent a whopping 12 weeks at number one on the Billboard 200.
In its first week, Khaled’s new release moved 95,000 units, which edged out VIEWS by 15,000 units. Major Key features the hit singles “For Free” featuring Drake and “I Got The Keys” featuring Jay Z and Future.
The 14-track LP also features guest appearances from Mavado, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, Betty Wright, Nas, J.Cole, Bryson Tiller, Jeremih, Nicki Minaj, August Alsina, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Kodak Black, French Montana, Wale, Wiz Khalifa, Fabolous, Jadakiss, Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, YG, Yo Gotti, Kent Jones, and surprisingly, Meghan Trainor.
