Today, Travi$ Scott and OG Chase B kicked off their first episode of .WAV Radio on Beats1 with a special guest, Seth Rogen, and plans for a big announcement. Early on, just minutes into the show, fans were treated to brand new, unreleased Travi$ Scott when “The Hooch” was played, a toned-down, melodic jam that could appear on Scott’s forthcoming sophomore album, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight.
Scott announced at a recent Coney Island concert that the album would be out on August 5, but last Friday, nothing of the sort occurred. This week, Scott claimed on Twitter that he and his team were actually ready for the 5th, but didn’t reveal a new date for the album. Thankfully, in an interview with his fellow Beats1 host Zane Lowe, Scott said he’ll “probably” drop the new date during .WAV Radio, so you Apple Music subscribers might want to look out for that today.
Travi$ and Chase B join a slew of other rappers and Hip Hop artists who have inked recent music/Beats1 deals with Apple, including Drake, Future, DJ Khaled, Pharrell, Q-Tip and Jaden Smith.
