Last night, Drake and Future‘s Summer Sixteen tour fell through Ohio, a place that’s been on a high since late June when their Cavaliers gifted them the first major championship for the city of Cleveland in over a half-century. The leader of that championship quest was LeBron James, Ohio’s prodigal son from Akron, who often showed off his super-human ability down the stretch to help lead the Cavs back from a 3-1 deficit.
Drake’s long been a fan of LeBron–James showed up to one of Drake’s first state-side marquee shows in 2009, at SOBs in New York City–even though the two appeared to get in a bit of a verbal back-and-forth on the sidelines at Air Canada Centre during the Eastern Conference Finals.
That aside, last night, Drake gave his crowd a gift by surprising them with a special guest: LeBron James himself. Naturally, the arena went nuts as their hero greeted them, and they got even wilder when Drake dropped his current turn-up anthem, “Pop Style” with James in tow.
